In a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.diariosur.es\/economia\/empresas-sur\/exxacon-innovacion-desarrollo-proyectos-relacion-cliente-20261019110214-nt.html\">interview<\/a> with <em>Diario Sur<\/em>, Elena Cuberos, Managing Director of Exxacon, reflected on her 26 years at the helm of the M\u00e1laga-based developer and outlined the key principles behind its business model: <strong>making good design accessible to all, sustainability, innovation in construction methods and close, personal support for customers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Elena Cuberos, the overall assessment of this journey \u201c<em>could not be more positive<\/em>\u201d. What she values most is having grown <strong>without being swept along by the pace of the market or succumbing to external pressures, instead making considered decisions, acting prudently and always keeping a long-term perspective<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, Exxacon operates across <strong>Andaluc\u00eda, Madrid and the Valencian Community<\/strong>, continuing to design every development with its future residents and the way they will live in mind. As our Managing Director points out, the company has learnt a great deal along the way, including from its mistakes. Every project begins with a focus on creating the best possible layouts, maximising natural light and designing communal areas that genuinely add value. As Elena Cuberos emphasises, anyone buying a home \u201c<em>is choosing a way of life, not just a certain number of square metres<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our <strong>Smart Living<\/strong> philosophy, introduced in 2010, is part of our DNA and translates into practical benefits: modern homes that consume less energy, feature functional design and are designed to enhance residents\u2019 well-being. For years, we have incorporated <strong>geothermal and aerothermal systems<\/strong> for heating and cooling, and we developed <strong>Andaluc\u00eda\u2019s first residential building to achieve Passivhaus certification<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are also transforming the way homes are built. We use digital design and planning tools and are introducing the <strong>industrialisation of fa\u00e7ades and wet rooms<\/strong>, enabling us to identify potential issues before construction begins, keep projects on schedule more effectively and reduce waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Innovation also extends to our relationships with customers. We are <strong>digitising our sales and customer service processes<\/strong> to provide better support throughout the home-buying journey, from the initial enquiry about a development to moving into the finished property. Buying a home off-plan is a major decision that requires trust and confidence. That is why <strong>we provide transparent information, regular updates and personalised support throughout construction, at handover and after residents move into their new homes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A shared accolade: Professional Achievement Award<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elena Cuberos recently received the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exxacon.es\/en\/elena-cuberos-award-for-outstanding-achievement-in-womens-careers\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.exxacon.es\/en\/elena-cuberos-award-for-outstanding-achievement-in-womens-careers\/\">Professional Achievement Award<\/a><\/strong> at the second edition of the M\u00e1laga Women\u2019s Entrepreneurship and Leadership Awards, organised by the Unimos Talento network. As she explains, an award of this kind prompts reflection on the journey so far, and for her, above all, it brings to mind the people who have made it possible: her business partner, Gast\u00f3n Aigneren, who believed in her from the company\u2019s earliest days, and a team she describes as \u201c<em>talented, service-oriented and admirably able to adapt to change without losing sight of what matters<\/em>\u201d.
