Exxacon Smart Living, a leading property developer based in Málaga with a national reputation, has commenced construction work on Alura Living Casares Costa, its residential development located in Casares Costa, in the municipality of Casares, to which it will allocate a total investment of 51.18 million euros. Handovers are expected to take place from the third quarter of 2029.
The project will be developed on a 10,664 m² plot in the Doña Julia area and will comprise 99 two- and three-bedroom homes, all with a parking space and a storage room. Designed to suit a Mediterranean lifestyle, the development features spacious homes that are open to the outdoors and boast a carefully planned layout. The spacious terraces and private gardens on the ground floor (which in some cases exceed 200 m²) allow residents to enjoy the Costa del Sol’s pleasant climate all year round.
Furthermore, the south, south-east and south-west orientation of the homes ensures excellent natural light and unobstructed views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. Their location, just five minutes from the beach and close to the area’s finest golf courses, such as Finca Cortesín, combines the tranquillity of an established residential area with proximity to a comprehensive range of services and leisure facilities.
The communal areas, meanwhile, have been designed as an extension of the homes, with spaces intended for relaxation, sport and socialising. The complex will feature a swimming pool for adults and children, a sun terrace, a chill-out area with a barbecue, a fully equipped gym, a golf simulator, a lounge area with a gourmet kitchen, a sauna and a Turkish bath, creating a range of amenities designed to allow residents to make the most of their free time without leaving the development.
The development is aimed both at buyers seeking a primary residence in a high-quality residential setting and at those who value Casares Costa as a second-home destination. In this regard, Exxacon has identified an international client profile comprising buyers from various European countries and the United States, with foreign buyers accounting for over 95 per cent of the total.
“With Alura Living Casares Costa, we are responding to a growing demand for homes that combine design, spaciousness, high-quality construction and a prime location. It is a development designed to allow residents to enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle all year round, with outdoor spaces taking centre stage,” says Elena Cuberos, managing director of Exxacon.
The start of construction work on Alura Living Casares Costa marks a further milestone in Exxacon’s development programme on the Costa del Sol. The development will generate more than 200 direct and indirect jobs during the construction, marketing and associated services phases, contributing to the local economy and the revitalisation of Málaga’s business community. Indeed, the project bears the signature of two renowned local architectural practices: Villarroel Arquitectos and JCC Arquitectura & Urbanismo. This collaboration reinforces Exxacon’s commitment to architectural quality and technical rigour throughout all phases of the development.

Casares Costa, a strategic location for living and investing on the Costa del Sol
Casares Costa is one of the locations with the greatest potential for residential development on the western Costa del Sol. Its position between Estepona and Sotogrande, as well as its proximity to other key destinations such as Marbella, allows it to combine the tranquillity of a natural, uncrowded setting with access to first-class services, infrastructure and transport links.
The town also retains its own distinct identity, closely linked to the landscape, Andalusian tradition and quality of life – factors that enhance its appeal to both domestic and international buyers seeking a coastal home without compromising on privacy, natural surroundings and good transport links. Against this backdrop, Casares is establishing itself as a particularly suitable destination for residential developments aimed at both primary and second homes.
Costa del Sol: Exxacon’s origins, present and future
With this development, Exxacon is strengthening its ties with the Costa del Sol, the region where it has built much of its track record. As a result, the province of Málaga remains one of the main hubs of its activity, with a planned investment of 294.3 million euros up to 2029 and 10 developments spread across Málaga city and various locations on the Costa del Sol, such as Estepona, Casares, Mijas and Alhaurín de la Torre.
This commitment to Málaga forms part of Exxacon’s growth plan up to 2032, which envisages a total investment of 860 million euros and consolidates Andalusia as the developer’s main focus of activity. Overall, the company plans to allocate 421.2 million euros to the region by 2029, with 14 developments and 1,107 homes planned between Málaga and Seville.
